Using DDNS to access multiple devices

I know I must be missing something but I want to access multiple devices from outside my network using DDNS, e.g.

a.somedomain.com:80 -> Router -> Host1 (192.168.50.10)
b.somedomain.com:80 -> Router -> Host2 (192.168.50.11)
c.somedomain.com:80 -> Router -> Host3 (192.168.50.12)
d.somedomain.com:80 -> Router -> Host4 (192.168.50.13)

These hosts are all running on a FreeNAS server.

Obviously DDNS points a domain to my WAN IP so I am trying to work out how to direct the external traffic to...

Automatically load HUAWEI E3351 3g modem

Hello! I managed to switch modes on my E3351 (E3351s-2) modem by writing this line:

Code:
usb_modeswitch -v 12d1 -p 1f01 -V 12d1 -P 1506 -M 55534243123456780000000000000011060000000000000000000000000000
I had to write this just after inserting the modem into the router or else it would change it pid from 1f01 to 14db automatically. I have just been here on this forum for a little more than a day so I don't know much of tomato. But I suspect it changed pid because of this file:...

Hi there I've been using Tomato by Shibby on a ASUS RT-N66U for a few years now and it has been very stable. Yet one issue still remains, the response time when requesting a webpage sometimes takes long, not to say very long. As soon as I refresh the wireless connection everything is fine again.
Tomato was set to AP mode and the only 3 things I have changed are TX Power to 100mW on 2.4 Ghz and 150 on 5 Ghz and router and I set it from gateway to router mode. (BTW Most WiFi router disable...

Share QoS Rules for VOIP/Gaming

Hello everyone,
I've been working on my QoS rules for roughly a year now. Yes that long! Honestly i think they still need a lot of work, QoS seems to be an ongoing thing. Some games can still be a bit flaky such as GTAV (not sure if thats my rules or the games) and i cant really broadcast (low quality) and play at the same time (may be a bit much for my small 700 kbit/s up) but this is what works for me and everyone in my household.
I figured i would share these rules to help others and give...

connection refused repeatedly when trying to access router page

I am not sure what is going on. It started a week ago when I had not logged into the Tomato GUI in a year and decided to go in. Connection was refused in every browser.

I manually reset the router and was able to get in with the default login, but if I create a password and change the settings and save it, I can log in as long as I don't close the browser. If I do and restart the browser the connection to 192.168.1.1 is refused. If I don't change anything and reboot the computer or...

IPV6 isn't working with QoS enabled on Shibby's Tomato on my R7000.

I have IPV6 working fine. When I enable QoS, IPV6 stops working. I cannot ping ipv6.google.com, nor can I bring up any IPV6 web pages. With QoS disabled, it all continues to work. Also, if I leave QoS enabled and reboot the router, I will not get a IPV6 address from the modem (comcast). Simply disabling QoS and doing a renew makes everything happy again..

So I've searched and found some people saying that QoS works, but the default rules just put all IPV6 traffic in the default queue. This...

Vpn selective by-pass question [Solved]

Hi guys,

I’m a complete newbie at networking, and at using the tomato firmware (although I have also played around with dd-wrt – without much success).

I've installed the Shibby 1.28 tomato firmware on a new netgear r7000. I have successfully set up openvpn on it and can access the internet successfully using the privateinterneaccess vpn service. Although I can’t tell from within the tomato firmware what IP is being given to me by PIA (the dd-wrt status page clearly showed this), the PIA...

Tomato ND USB Mod

Unfortunately, the official Tomato does not include USB support, and for that only reason I was not using it on my Asus WL-520gu that has the USB port. Otherwise I love Tomato :smile:!

The only mod I found with USB was TrzepakoTomato - but it is still at version 21, does not include printer support and Ext3 filesystem support, and still has some modules I have no use for, leaving no JFFS space. So I decided to go ahead and make a new mod to suit my needs.

I would like to thank other...

QoS: distinguish uploads and downloads

$

The concept of Tomatos QoS is: you cannot directly control incoming traffic, but only indirectly by limiting outgoing traffic for a class. If, for example, a filetransfer has a traffic ratio outgoing/incoming of 1:10, then you have to limit outgoing traffic for that class to 1/10 of the targeted incoming traffic.

Tomatos class FileXfer is designed for downloads, not for uploads. So we need a second class for uploads. But how can we distinguish that traffic in the QoS rules? I think this is...

Tomatoware

Tomatoware is a project that creates a native compiling environment for Tomato firmware supported routers.
https://github.com/lancethepants/tomatoware

Why

Tomatoware may be useful for:
1. Compiling a package not found in optware/entware.
2. Compiling the latest (bleeding edge) version of a package.
3. Compiling your own custom code.

Tomatoware can be mounted to /mmc to allow co-existence with optware/entware. It can also be compiled for any prefix. Various...

Tenda N80 - Tomato firmware support

I have a Tenda N80 router that I've been trying to upgrade to Tomato for awhile now. The Tenda factory firmware rejects the Tomato firmware upload with a nondescript page that simply says "Error!" Over on another thread, I was advised to use a TTL-serial connection to stop the router from booting so I could access the CFE webserver. I succeeded in accomplishing this, and if it helps,...

Any way to bypass VPN selectively?

$

I've got a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 running Victek's Tomato firmware Tomato-RAF-1.28.8525_VPN.

I've gotten the VPN working, but I'm wondering if there's any way to bypass the VPN selectively for certain machines, so some would connect through the VPN running on the router, and some would connect directly (bypassing the VPN).

Any ideas?

Until recently, I was running Shibby v. 1.28 on my R7000, and I was using selective routing of certain IP addresses on my network (using the WAN Up script described in this thread http://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php?threads/any-way-to-bypass-vpn-selectively.33468 ), such that IP addresses 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.254 were routed through my ISP, and IP...

ddwrt to shibby tomato firmare issue

$

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to go from dd wrt dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_openvpn) to shibby tomato (tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-MIPSR2-131-Big-VPN)

I've followed the FAQs and tried upgrading from the firmware upgrade section under the administration tab.

However, the issue I'm running into is that after it reboots the router I still end up at the DD WRT page instead of the tomato login page.

Any suggestions?
