Hello Expert,

How are you, I would like to ask about this kind of problem. I'm using Shibby Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-131 K26 USB AIO

and I have this problem since I flash my Asus RT-N16. I was noticed every time my router restarted
or after its rebooted due to power down DDNS is never came back until I "Force update" it.

below is the screenshot of my the router after restarted.....

switching routrers and loading the old configuration

Is it possible to convert a configuration file downloaded from one router and then upload it to a new router?

This is assuming you use the same version of the firmware, eg all in one. Lets say I have downloaded my configuration from my router, then it dies. I'd like to be able to install tomato on a new router and upload my old settings. Since the old router is dead, I won't be able to copy/paste easily. And in some cases you can't do that for things like the static routing tables.

Netgear R7000 not fast enough anymore. Is PFsense my only option?

I have a 320Mbit cable connection and the Netgear R7000 /w Shibby Tomato 131 just isn't fast enough anymore.

If I enable QoS, it's limited to around 190Mbit/s, is there any way of doing QoS with CTF (cut-through forwarding) or FastNAT enabled? The stock Netgear firmware does not have IP specific QoS rules, and the AsusWRT merlin firmware turns off hardware acceleration with QoS on so I think it'll also be limited to around 190Mbit/s.

I need to get QoS working without compromising on max...

AC-68U with Shibby v121: Bandwidth limiter not limiting upload speed [conflict with Captive Portal]

I'm trying to limit bandwidth for a guest network on br1. While download speed limit works fine, upload limit doesn't seem to have any effect at all: I'm getting the same upload speed test results as on my private network. I read somewhere on the net that creating a virtual lan for that bridge fixes it, but it didn't help in my case.

RT-N66U w/Shibby 131 AIO - Wifi constantly disconnects, both bands

Hi guys, I just installed 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-131 K26AC USB AIO-64K on an RT-N66U.

I'm kind of unimpressed, the web interface goes down for 15-20 seconds every time I save new settings... I'm coming from an RT-N16 and this issue was non-existent. Is this normal?

What's worse, there seems to be a major issue with the wireless. All devices lose their connection constantly, every 1-2 minutes. If I stream a video or something, the problem stops, but as soon as the connection is idle, it starts...

Interesting ac1900 router released recently by Tenda and is on sale for $80. It uses the same bcm4708A0 and bcm4360 chips as Asus RT-AC68U, and the appearance is very similar too. Wonder if anyone had any success with the ac68u Shibby release on it?

Latest Tomato Shibby (131) crashes my Netgear R7000

Hello,

I hope this is the correct place to post this question and ask for help.

I have a Netgear R7000 and I installed the latest Tomato Shibby (131 AIO) successfully on it. However, when I run the router with a load on it (i.e. playing online games) the router crashes after about 20 minutes or so.

It there anything I can look at to see why the router is crashing?

Thanks,

Phoo

Hi guys, quick issue im having with shibby 131 and im hoping someone can spread some light on it.

I have my router setup to assign static ips to 15 devices (all the devices in my house) I then have DHCP setup for a 10 ip range i.e 10.8.1.200-10.8.1.210 just incase i get any new devices so that they can get an IP then i can assign them a static one.

My problem is devices lose internet connectivity, different devices at different times and I can only solve it by restarting the router. Then...

miniupnpd custom config syntax?

I wanted to prevent my NAS to use any sort of automatic port mapping as it shouldn't really be reachable via Internet.

I did ask google first and came out with something like:

Code:
deny 0-65535 192.168.0.4/32 0-65535
allow 0-65535 0.0.0.0/0 0-65535
However I still can see ports automatically mapped to 192.168.0.4

Í'm just wondering if the above syntax is actually meant to be working with Miniupnpd "Custom configuration" on tomato or in general if there's any alternative/better...

strange network situation

I experienced a strange situation today. Windows 10 started giving a 169 IP address. I rebooted my router and this seemed to go away. I noticed, however, that when I went to connect to 192.168.1.1 it reported as an RT-N66U. I have an RT-ACC66U at 192.168.1.1. I tried to login in with my username and password and couldn't. I tried the default admin, admin and was presented with the ASUS router firmware. I was connected to a neighbour's router.

The problem seems to have resolved itself for...

Redirect specific HTTP URL in Tomato Firmware?

Hi, I've installed Tomato firmware on my N18 router, and it runs perfect!

I'd like to know if there is any way to filter client's traffic and redirect specific HTTP URL to other url instead? For an examples:

http://www.domain.com/path/to/blocked/url.html --> http://192.168.1.1/noaccess.html

If I'm correct, webui can redirect only at domain/ip level. Access Restriction can filter URI, but can't redirect. Is there any script or config file in Tomato firmware that...

MIPSR2-131 K26AC USB AIO-64K
Broadcom Wireless Driver 6.30.39.31 (r341183)

First, a comment on the WL driver:

1. There are far fewer instances of impossibly high RSSI values being reported than with older drivers!
2. There are frequent reports of "rate of last rx pkt: -1 kbps" from sta_info.

In Status > Device List,
the wrong RSSI values show as values greater than -20, often *positive* values.
the "-1" RX rates show as "- / 4294967".

Next, a brief comparison of the AC66U...

Tomato stopped counting bandwidth

Yep... Out of the blue, Tomato stopped counting bandwidth since a week. I haven't changed anything, it just stops on the 14th of Sept. I still get the 24 hours history, the router was up for 50 days.

I restarted it but it still doesn't count it. 24 hours history is unaffected and historical data is still there. Tried resetting and creating a new file in bandwidth settings, no dice.

Shibby 131 AIO trouble setting up OpenVPN

I'm trying to set-up OpenVPN on an ASUS RT-N16, using Only User/Pass (without cert) Auth. The end-goal is to have my end-users install the OpenVPN client on their machines (they all invariably use Windows), likely using some sort of auto-extracting compressed file so they don't have to figure out how to configure the client themselves. My settings (anything not listed is unselected):

  • [x] Start with WAN
  • Interface Type: TUN
  • Protocol: UDP
  • Port: 1194
  • Firewall: Automatic...

WEB UI unresponsive after a while

I have uploaded Tomato on my Linksys E2500 v3 router, the file is "tomato-E2500v3USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.AT-RT-N5x-MIPSR2-2.9-131-Mega-VPN.bin".

I have noticed that after a while, maybe many hours, the web UI does not respond, and the telnet does not allow me to log on, with "unknown user" or something similar (typically I log on with root/admin).

However the router accepts WiFi connections and works - albeit it seems with interruptions. I use Tomato only for its OpenVPN client to connect to a...
