Setting AP to "Auto" mode or "G-Only"

I have had several people recently who complained they could not connect to the internet. But when they brought their computer to me, it connected right away.

I had all my AP's set to G only. But the one I use for testing in my room was set to "Auto".

For some reason, this Asus K42IB laptop won't connect to a WRT54GL set to G Only. It uses an Atheros wireless AR9285.

This may help people who have had problems with machines not connecting.
